“UTOPIA” by Delaram Homayouni: A New Art Exhibition at Sofitel Frankfurt Opera

From November 2026, Sofitel Frankfurt Opera presents a new art exhibition entitled “Utopia” by Iranian-born artist Delaram Homayouni.

Born in 1980 in Shahrekord, Iran, Delaram Homayouni grew up in Isfahan, a city whose rich cultural heritage, poetry, architecture and ornamental traditions continue to inspire her artistic practice. Now based in Wiesbaden, she combines influences from her Iranian heritage with the visual language of Western modernism, creating a distinctive artistic expression shaped by both cultures.

Her series “Utopia” explores identity, perception and transformation. Geometric forms, luminous colours and transparent layers come together to create intricate visual compositions that move between abstraction and association, order and openness. Through architectural and urban structures, Homayouni explores the space between present reality and future visions, where hope and uncertainty, utopia and dystopia coexist.

Materiality plays an essential role in her work. Using traditional techniques, natural pigments, egg tempera and oil paints applied in delicate layers, the artist creates depth, transparency and a distinctive luminosity. Her paintings invite viewers to reflect on identity, diversity and the possibilities of shaping the future.

Displayed in the lobby and Restaurant Schönemann, the exhibition brings a contemporary artistic perspective to the elegant surroundings of Sofitel Frankfurt Opera. The dialogue between colour, form and space complements the hotel’s appreciation of art, culture and the French Art de Vivre.

The exhibition will be on display from November 2026 until April 2027.
