NEW SELECTION OF THE MICHELIN GUIDE 2026

SOFITEL FRANKFURT OPERA AWARDED TWO MICHELIN KEYS FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW

A recognition worth celebrating: Sofitel Frankfurt Opera has once again been awarded Two MICHELIN Keys in the 2026 hotel selection of the renowned MICHELIN Guide – marking the third consecutive year the hotel has received this prestigious distinction.

The MICHELIN Keys are the hotel equivalent of the Guide’s famous restaurant stars, recognising properties that offer outstanding experiences and memorable stays. Two MICHELIN Keys stand for an “exceptional stay” and recognise the many elements that come together to create one: from architecture and design to service, character and the overall guest experience.

A distinction on an international scale

The 2026 MICHELIN Guide hotel selection includes 2,832 Key Hotels worldwide, with:

• 155 Three-Key Hotels
• 657 Two-Key Hotels
• 2,020 One-Key Hotels

In Germany, 130 hotels have been awarded MICHELIN Keys, including 6 Three-Key Hotels, 34 Two-Key Hotels and 90 One-Key Hotels.

In Frankfurt, no hotel has been awarded Three MICHELIN Keys in 2026. Sofitel Frankfurt Opera is recognised with Two MICHELIN Keys, while two hotels in the city have received One MICHELIN Key.
