SOFITEL FRANKFURT OPERA CELEBRATES ITS CENTENARY

AFTERNOON TEA, ANNIVERSARY DINNER AND ANNIVERSARY CALENDAR

IN THE ANNIVERSARY YEAR 2024

In 2024, Sofitel Hotels & Resorts will celebrate its 60th anniversary. To mark this diamond jubilee, Sofitel Frankfurt Opera is also planning a series of special events and activities for locals, guests and employees, starting this month, culminating in the official anniversary on 26 June and continuing into August.

Sofitel, a pioneer of French luxury hospitality, traces its roots back to 1964, when the first hotel opened in Strasbourg – the beginning of a journey characterised by the meeting of local culture and the French art de vivre, which will reach a milestone in 2024 with its 60th anniversary. To celebrate the diamond jubilee, the Sofitel Frankfurt Opera also wants to create unforgettable moments for guests, locals and employees through unique experiences.

The five-star superior hotel on Frankfurt’s Opernplatz is launching the “Le Gouter – Diamond Edition” afternoon tea at Lili’s Bar on 26 April in collaboration with Courbet, the first sustainable jewellery store on Place Vendôme in Paris, France. The afternoon tea includes a selection of sandwiches and cakes, as well as a glass of champagne and a selection of hot drinks. The speciality: Guests have the opportunity to upgrade their afternoon tea with a SOFITEL x COURBET bracelet created especially for the anniversary, which they can purchase at a special price. A luxurious translation of the shared values that unite the two properties, the bracelet transforms the Sofitel logo into a delicate 18 carat recycled gold motif resting on a recycled polyester band. Afternoon tea will be available daily between 3.00pm and 5.00pm until August.

This will be followed by a diamond anniversary dinner on 10 May, which will also be the pre-opening dinner of the Frankfurt Fashion Lounge (FFL) 2024. Under the motto “White & Diamonds”, invited guests can expect a 4-course gala dinner with a designer runaway show at the table. The Sofitel Frankfurt Opera is a partner of the FFL for the eighth time and is once again organising a number of runaway shows and a showroom as part of this year’s event.
