Sofitel Frankfurt Opera - Luxury hotel - Contemporary Art in Dialogue with the French Art de Vivre

Contemporary Art in Dialogue with the French Art de Vivre

Contemporary Art in Dialogue with the French Art de Vivre

Frankfurt, 23 February 2026 — Aleph Art Gallery opens a new art cooperation with Sofitel Frankfurt Opera, where the gallery will be present as a Guest Gallery. The collaboration launches with a curated exhibition presented in a distinguished part of the elegant hotel lobby, inviting hotel guests and visitors to encounter contemporary art in close dialogue with Sofitel’s architecture, design, and refined atmosphere.

Rooted in Sofitel’s French Art de Vivre, the cooperation creates a setting in which contemporary artistic practices unfold beyond the traditional gallery space—engaging with hospitality, cultural exchange, and the aesthetics of place.

The guest gallery cooperation begins with an exhibition opening to the public from 4 March 2026, introducing the debut presentation of the international emerging artist Oliwia Kacprzak, alongside artworks by Karen Shahverdyan.

Oliwia Kacprzak’s artworks from the series States of the City explore contrasting emotional states of urban life through gestural abstraction and action-based painting. Inspired by the legacy of Jackson Pollock and shaped by her time in New York, her practice investigates movement, rhythm, and psychological atmospheres through layered mark-making and intuitive techniques. This presentation marks the debut of Oliwia Kacprzak’s artworks.

Also presented is Karen Shahverdyan, a German-Armenian visual artist living and working in Germany. His practice is distinguished by a virtuoso command of Old Masters technique—yet he treats it not as an end in itself, but as a precise instrument for contemporary ideas. With hyperreal clarity and a subtle surrealist charge, Shahverdyan constructs images that hover between the recognisable and the uncanny. Landscapes, architecture, skies, and figures appear with striking detail, while symbolic elements and unexpected juxtapositions open the artworks toward ambiguity—inviting viewers to reconsider the boundary between reality and fiction, tradition and modernity.

Over the coming months, Aleph Art Gallery will present additional artists within the Sofitel setting, expanding the programme with new positions and curated presentations.

We invite you to visit Aleph Art Gallery and explore contemporary art in the heart of Frankfurt am Main. As an international destination for culture, business, and hospitality, Sofitel Frankfurt Opera offers an ideal context for this ongoing collaboration—where art, architecture, and the French Art de Vivre meet in a refined, contemporary dialogue.
