NEW SELECTION OF THE MICHELIN GUIDE:
SOFITEL FRANKFURT OPERA AWARDED TWO MICHELIN KEYS FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW

Frankfurt, 09 October 2025 – For the second consecutive year, Sofitel Frankfurt Opera has been awarded two MICHELIN Keys. This distinction once again confirms the hotel as one of the best-rated properties in Frankfurt am Main. The classification represents an “exceptional stay” and underlines the Five-Star Superior hotel’s commitment to excellence in a truly remarkable way.

The renowned Michelin Guide introduced this new recommendation system in 2024, revising its hotel selection to evaluate outstanding properties according to a key system similar to its famous restaurant stars, ranging from one to three Keys. The rating considers five criteria: architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, personality and character, value for money, and a significant contribution to the guest experience in a specific environment. Keys are awarded based on anonymous inspections by MICHELIN inspectors, independently of existing labels, star classifications, or predetermined quotas. In Germany, the 2025 selection includes six 3-Key hotels, 34 2-Key hotels, and 90 1-Key hotels.
